A white rose has graced my lapel the past 2 years on Mother's Day. My Mamma transitioned on June 19th, 2010! Mamma was born in 1915. She was raised in east Texas, near College Station, and Juneteenth was one of her favorite holidays.

I think it's fitting that Mamma was "free at last" from Alzheimer's and the cares of this world on June 19th.
