Hi Everybody,
For today's card I was inspired by May being Lawn and Garden month and by those $1.50 flowers you find in the Michael's bins. I have packs of these flowers in various colors and I have been on a mission to use up my stash and not purchase anything new, minus adhesive. So far I have been doing pretty good; for this card I did not purchase anything new.
The idea for this layout of a simple card came as I was sitting at work, and I quickly drew it out so that I could work on it later. I love it! It is exactly how I saw it and even quicker and easier to make.
Love, love, love this card. SO simple, quick and this starts off my CAS (clean and simple) Card series. Love when things come together.
This is an A2 size card (4.25 x 5.5), I outlined card stock mats with the Y23 Copic marker. I wasn't trying to get the edges exact, I actually like the uneven look of the border. Then I layered the flowers and some twine onto the lace trim and added my sentiment from my Amy R "Many Thanks" rubber stamp set and I was done. I can't wait to make more of these. You can never have too many thank you cards on hand.
And there you have it. My SOC project for today. I encourage you all to see what you have in your stash and use them up.
Until next time...
Kelli
What I used..
~Recollection card stock
~Y23 Copic marker
~Lace Trim
~Twine (you could use raffia or any type of string)
~Flowers from the $1.50 bin at Mike's
~Amy R stamp set
This is adorable! Outlining the mat is what makes this "pop" and takes it over the top.
ReplyDeleteCute card and a great use of all the flowers we already own.
ReplyDeleteCute card, like the outlining and a great way to use your stash!
