I hope wherever you are the sun is shining and signs of Spring have arrived! In the Windy City we know that Spring has arrived when the skies are no longer gray and we all whip out our rainboots!
Since I add my photo's last on my layouts I envision my embellishments/patterned paper in my head often time. When creating a themed layout I would like the page to tell my story without the photo. Lets get started!
I grabbed all the supplies I thought I would use. When using my Silhouette for die cuts I cut all my pieces out sometimes days earlier and put them in a ziplock bag. Here I have sticker sheets, wood dots, my background, die cuts, wood veneers and chipboard.
I wanted to mimic the dots on my rain boots so I used a circle background and it was also a way for me to tie in black. Also if you look at the photo is not vivid or bright that's where my themed embellishments save the day.
I grabbed several versions of cardstock punched out circles, embossed the circles and layered them on the background to add texture to the layout.
Then it hit me....A CLOUD! A cloud to anchor the title. I die cut a cloud and added my spring weather embellishments.
The title is a mix of chipboard letters and a die cut title. This layout definitely tells the story of what Spring is like here in Chicago.
Have a Spring themed layout post a link in the comments we would love to see it.
Happy Spring!
