Oh, How I Love You!

So it’s Valentine’s Day weekend. For some that means it’s all about chocolate, flowers, and getting lovey dovey with your sweetie. Of course all of that is nice, but for me it is a time to endulge in creating with colors and embellishments that are not typical for me, like the reds & pinks, and the hearts and cupcakes. Mmmm cupcakes.

Are you doing anything romantic this Valentine's Weekend or are you making it a scrappy one like me? Well, however you spend your weekend, I hope you enjoy it!

This is a Valentine’s Day card that I recently made, I rubber stamped the background to create my own patterned paper, and instead of die-cutting the heart, I cut it out the old-fashioned way...by hand. *Gasp!*

  1. Great post. I love the card. I am headed out for dinner with the husband now...doubt there will be any romance though.

  3. Lovely card! Since I've been sick/shut-in the house; this has been a scrapbooking weekend. Since we have "date night" every other week; it always feels like Valentine's Weekend. So, this weekend we've watch movies with the kids, been to dinner & went shopping. I am firm believer that Valentine's is not just one day or weekend. You should show your loved ones how much you care on a daily basis..even if it's just a kiss or a cute text message..

  5. Nice card. When you said that you hand cut the heart, I knew this was you Aysha. The last time we scrapped together, we were making VD cards and I needed a heart punch and you said "just draw one by hand". Thanks for reminding us that we don't always need to use a handy dandy tool.lol
    Sometimes we get spoiled.
