About Scraps of Color

Scraps of Color
was created in 2004 by founder Tiare Smith Woods to celebrate creative women of color.  It was created as a place where black women could come together in community to scrapbook, make cards, create and share with one another.  The community is fostered in sisterhood and support for one another through our creativity and our lives. Since that time we have built an amazing community of over 3000 members.  We have fostered amazing relationships.  We have not only created together, but challenged one another, supported each other through birth, death, marriage, divorce, education and more.  Scraps of Color is a true sisterhood!  We value the space and relationships we have grown.

We continue to encourage black women all over the world to join in and enjoy their creativity!  It's a place to share our works of heart, learn, create, inspire and be inspired.   A place where we share and educate one another on the tools, techniques, products, events and more that are available within the scrapbooking/crafting/planning industry.

Scraps of Color provides a monthly newsletter to keep you inspired and an online community to keep you connected!

PLEASE NOTE:  SOC has been hosted on a ning site for some years now but will be migrating members to the new Scraps of Color Facebook Group beginning April 15, 2017.  Please  join us there!
