A card or project and your Go to Supplies

Hello my SOC family, Hope you are all enjoying some cooler weather, where ever you live. Here is So. California, we are still waiting for fall to officially cools us off. . As I am sitting on my bed, it just dawn on me that today is the 24th and tomorrow (or  today as you read this post) is the 25th of the month. And that means that it's my turn to host my "inspiration" for this Month on the SOC blog
My life has been crazy for the last 2 weeks; followed my a full weekend of NO  internet. I finally got my internet up and running, But no Wireless and all of my work of course is on my laptop. (hope that is fixed in the next few days.
I do have several cards and projects that I have created, but yet to post. And that bring me to my card today. I created this card a couple months ago. If you are like me we have our "favorite "go to " craft supplies that we keep on hand for a  quick or on the go card. I would say that my go to supply is "Kraft Card Stock!!! and embellishments of any kind.
My image is from Saturated Canary" say hello to  "Belle" she is such a sassy young lady with her purse and of course her cell phone. My style is always "Simple but Sassy" I have a hard time coming up with my sketches for my cards, and even after I choose a good sketch, it's still hard at time to bring, everything together.  I say that a great card stock to start with if you are unsure of what color to choose is "Kraft" it's such a great "Neutral " color and  so you can pare it with just about any DP that you have in your stash. For my first mat I went with a sold color and hen choose a cute DP with print to make it pop.To finish of my card I really just went with lots of embellishments. I say don't be afraid to mix that up as well, I used  some great paper roses from Michael's as well as some flourish  with bling. And even my Martha Stewart butterfly  punch.
Here is a close up of Belle. She is colored with my Prisma Pencils and OMS. I played of my colors for my card and colored her hair a gorgeous "Red/orange" Her jeans are colored with several blues to bring out a real denim look.

What is your go to card stock and embellishments? I would love for you to share  it here.

  2. I use a lot of white, but really like kraft cardstock too! I need to use it more often! As for embellies, I really like to use ribbon and charms on my cards!

BTW, your card is too cute! Great coloring and nice design!
