Creating Clean and Simple Cards

Hi there I hope that the August Month has brought you lots of Fun in the Sun as the Summer has already just about come to an end. If you are like me, it was over even sooner than that as all of our kids have returned back to school. With everything else that we have to do with our busy schedule, sometimes trying to whip up a Birthday card or other special occasions cards can be difficult or time consuming; Or maybe you are someone who may be new in stamping and want to start of with just the basic and simple cards that are easy  and simple. (for me the hardest thing about creating a card is trying to come up with a nice layout)
Today I wanted to share with you two "Clean and Simple" cards that took me no time at all to make.

Here are the Main items I used in creating my "CAS cards. I started with two different mini stamp set and die's and some "Die Ink" in different colors. I am a "huge" fan of Paper Trey Ink. It's where I shop for my colored card stock and the White card stock that I use for my stamping and coloring. In addition I love their "mini stamp sets" because not only are they just cute and perfect for card making or scrapbooking. I love that you can get a whole stamp set for $5.00 and most of them come with a matching "die" for around $3.00. My little cube's of 'inks' are Only $2.00 so you can pick up a few of your favorite colors. And what is soo great about everything I get is that it ALL coordinates together!  My point in sharing all this with you it to show you that  you can create a beautiful card, layout or project for about  $10.00 WOW!! that I think is worth sharing.

Here is my first card, how very simple and clean but also 'cute' is this card.. I started with my card stock ( PTI. Ocean Tides, Dark chocolate, and White Card stock.) and Memento  "Rich Cocoa" I used "Heart to Heart #5  stamp set and matching 'die". My card is at 4 1/2 by 5 1/2. I ran my die through my cuttle bug. (you can use any cutting machine you have.( each banner measures 2 1/8" x 3/4" )..you can see from the die you get 4 banners each time you run it through your machine.  I then used 4 different colors and stamped my banners. ( I find it easier to cut out your banners firs and then just line up your stamp and stamp your image and colors. I used everything you see on my card from the stamp set and just created a cute banner, with bows on each end. I then used some glue and glued my banners on to the string. I then used the two different to create a fun sentiment on the front of the card.... How "Easy" was that?? :)))))
I wanted to show you the inside of my card.. Because I think I have shown you a different way that is even "simpler and cleaner and easier to make. I didn't bother with having to use any "die" cuts. Soo if you don't want to take time to cut out your banners!! then just use the stamps and your ink's to create the same thing. I stamped my string and bow first, then i just used my banner and ink and stamped directly on to the string. I love that they are clear stamp because when using your acrylic block you can line up your images nicely and just stamp how you want to. (I only used some scaps of DP I had just because I wanted to use it up.)

Here is my second card. For this one I used the "Heart to Heart #2 stamp set" I have to say that I LOVE this set..  I did the same thing as my first card. I used my "balloon die" and stamp set to create my 3 balloons, added some twine and I have my balloons with their string.  I added some DP from Echo Park " Summer splash"  I used my cuttle bug embossing folder and white card stock. I added the balloons with some pop dots and a blue ribbon and button from Michael's. Again very easy and quick to create.

Sentiment (Blueberry Sky) is a part of the stamp set. I stamped my balloon in "New Leaf" and string in "Classic Kraft"

I hope you have enjoyed my CAS cards. I really enjoyed putting these cards together, because they where soo easy and fun  to make, I just love the fact that I don't have to color all the time to create some very cute cards just the same.. LOL.. please leave me any questions or comments I love hearing your feed back.. I would love to see anything that you create with those stamped images that you have sitting on your desk but may just need a little motivating to get your crafty justices flowing.

Happy Scrapping,
Sharette

  5. Such cute cards. I especially like the one with the balloons. I love CAS cards and if I think that way more often I might get more cards completed to add to my card supply.
