My first SOC retreat!

I know you have heard this phrase over and over, "What happened in ____ stays in  ____."  Well I'm telling!!!  Scraps of Color 2nd retreat in Atlanta was the most action packed, driven, and fulfilling time that I greatly needed. There were sisters from all over the US including Canada and Bermuda.  I planned my work and worked my plan.  My goal was to complete two chipboard mini albums; one for a customer and one for my 8 month old nephew's first road trip.  MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!

The ribbon came from the 'giveaway table'.  The perfect match!

What made it easy was this Scor-Tape by Scor-Pal.  Oh my goodness....it's an awesome product and look how much I still have on the roll.  It's all that it says on the package.  Now this is only one of the many items we received in our goody bags that were so beautifully decorated by our talented Design Team member Aysha!

We were asked to make a tag not holding on the bling.  This is my take on it after creating at the last minute while watching Scandal.  I got so into the story, I cut a bit too much of the tulle off. But that's another story.

We were asked to make a tag representing where we were from.  This is my take on it using an ATC that I made for a swap a couple of years ago.  Some people dropped out and there were extras and look how perfect it came in handy to use on my tag.
Memphis Bridge with the Mississippi River below.  The map is of the downtown area including the National Civil Rights Museum (A must see in Memphis with the newly renovated site).  The ATC card is at the bottom.

MMMmmmm I know what you're asking.   If you got all that done, what made it action packed, driven, and fulfilling?  Glad you asked.....It was Line Dancing, fellowship, vendors, a giveaway table, several Make N Takes, PRIZES, sharing, eating, a trip to Joanns, Sistah's Keepers project, and of course KODAK moments.  Thank you Tiare and your team for an awesome time and to the vendors for the best products! If you know me well you know what's coming next.  As soon as I get all the photos printed there will be a mini album of the memories from Scraps of Color 2014 retreat.  I am looking forward to the next one.  Hope to see you there!!
