SOC Blogger's Challenge: Playing with Purple!

Hey everyone! Hope you had a great Mother's Day weekend! I spent yesterday celebrating with my mother and my extended family. It was a really nice day, and I hope it was for you as well.

Setting the theme for this week's challenge was just that--a challenge! So I got the idea to look at a calendar site to see what coming up, and I found out that May 16th is "Wear Purple for Peace" Day! Yes...seriously! Purple is my favorite color, so it definitely caught my attention! I figured it would be great inspiration for a challenge...so this week's theme was born!

Playing with Purple!

This color is one with many faces, from dark, rich eggplant to bold purple, to the softest lilac! Use it in your cards, scrapbook pages, or altered/mixed media projects as little or as much as you like! It can be an accent color or go crazy (yes, that's a Prince reference) with as much purple as you want this week!

Now onto this week's Look Back mini-feature! The ladies have been crafting and posting up a storm over in SOC's Blogger Challenge Forum with all of the challenges from the last few weeks! But here are a couple of cards from last week's "Head of the Class" theme:

Treva created this great card over on her blog this week! A simple card with lots of pop!

Princess shared this adorable card over in the Blogger Challenge Forum. Love the color combo and that cute little graduate!

In addition to her card, Princess created this awesome mixed media tribute to the #Bring Back Our Girls effort for the safe return of  the 200-300 girls abducted from their school in Nigeria. Please keep these girls and their families in your prayers.

Thank you ladies for sharing your creations with us! Have a blessed week!
