I am loving the recent trend of using a grid pattern for layouts. I like the simplicity of it and the
opportunity to use smaller photos. I
don’t normally do that, so it gets me out of my comfort zone. This layout is my take on the trend.
I am featuring some photos of our dog, Baxter, just lying around the
house. It’s a usual position for
her! I used three different photos and I
was also able to use several pieces of patterned paper.
I didn’t stress too much about exact sizing and placement of the
pieces. Because the photos were printed
on a 5x7 piece of photo paper, I went with a VERY rough estimate of 3 ½ x 2 ½
for all of the pieces. The finished grid
isn’t exactly a perfect square, but it works for me.
Here are some closeups. I tried do do a little embellishing on or near each of the squares of patterned paper:

Don’t be afraid of precise measuring to try this grid pattern. It’s super simple and such a fun way to use
smaller photos.
Happy Crafting!
