SOC Featured Blogger

Back in 2012, our SOC founder, Classygirl introduced a wonderful feature highlighting bloggers that are active online and in the the SOC community. This popular feature is back, continuing to spotlight inspiring sistah bloggers who update regularly with wonderful creative projects.

Our new featured blogger for 2014 is Felisa Montee. She is active in SOC's monthly creative challenges as well as in the Blogger Challenges. However, Felisa is gifted in many different crafts in addition to scrapbooking. Continue reading to learn more about this great crafter and blogger.

Family: I am married to Gail. We don’t have any kids together, but we have five grand-kids together. Gail has three kids and I have three, with Jalen being the only one still in high school.

How long have you been blogging? And what inspired you to start your blog? I have been blogging since 2009. I was inspired to blogging when I really got into YouTube videos. At the time it seemed like everyone blogging did videos. Now I only blog because I don’t have the time or energy to do a video.

You're at a tropical island retreat. Besides your basic crafting kit (photos, cardstock, trimmer/scissors, and adhesive), you're allowed only three extra craft items/types of items. What would be your three must haves? I would have to have my Cricut Explore machine, some bling, and stamps. 

Cruise Time

What are your favorite projects to create and share on your blog? I seem to be one of those crafters that is all over the place. One minute I love making cards and the next Layouts, embroidery, mini albums and altering things.

Describe your blog in 20-25 words. I never thought I was a creative person and my family seems to enjoy the things I make so I will continue to create for them and show to the world.
