October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. It's time for Pink Sunday, Races/Runs/Walks, and programs. Here's an opportunity for 'Mini Inspirations' with a tutorial. It's a sweet keepsakes and inspirational mini they can open again and again and again. Our Young Women Association is responsible for filling our Breast Cancer survivors bags with sweet BCA momentums. My crafty contibution will be this sweet 'Mini Inspiration'. So for all Breast Cancer Survivors who have just been diagosed, going through the process or in remission.....HUGS to you!
This 'mini' is made out of one 12x12 sheet. These pretty papers are from Crate Paper and what I will be using for the other minis. I chose this pack, because it's full of pink hues.
This is the 12x12 paper I'm starting with for the above mini inspiration.
Use your bone folder and fold in half, which is 6 inches. Your measurement should be 6in x 12in.
Then use your bone folder and fold at 3 in. You should have four folds. Each fold measurement is 3in x 6in.
At the top of each fold make it creative. I used my edge punch for one and I tore one.
At the top of this fold I used my Creative Memories circle punch.
At the top of this one I took out those decorative scissors I've been hoarding and cut one.
This is how it looks. Focus at the top. After you've altered the top, put some tacky tape (thin red tape) on the edges of the paper not the entire 6 in cut. The edges of the front side where it was altered.
LOVE ribbon and there are so many shades and styles. You can use ribbon or fiber for the tags, but you will need ribbon to tie the mini together.
The tags are cute at 3 1/2in x 5 3/4in. I punched a hole at the top for ribbon/fiber and cut the corners with my Creative Memories corner rounder. You don't have to use a corner rounder, but it's easy to pull the tags in and out for me. A flourished stamp and four different scripture stamps were used. That's where the inspiration comes in!
Don't you feel inspired? You can use the front and back. LOVE the ribbon. (Love & polka dots)
This is my little bag of pink. Yes remember this, because you're going to see it again later this month during our blog hop. You don't want to miss out on the fun! This is how I organize my scraps from different projects. If it's a little of this and a little of that I file it color coordinated. That's a little tip for you. : )
Now this is how it looks opened. Don't you think the receiver will be inspired!?
This is the final look....All Wrapped Up with 'Mini Inspirations'! Be inspired to create yours.

Proper Planning Prevents...
Constantly in a state of trying to get organized,
I work hard at putting together detailed page kits with pictures, paper
and embellishments. I even go the extra mile and pull chipboard
letters for my page titles in advance.
So,
when I recently decided to attend a crop, I was
completely at ease knowing that I only had to grab a few of my trusty
page kits and head out the door.
I
arrived at the crop, happily sat down to scrapbook, unpacked my page
kit (which had been prepared months earlier) and then realized that I didn't
remember what my title was supposed to be. After playing a quick game
of Soul Train Scramble Board, I finally figured it out. Then, just shy of completing the layout, I couldn't think of what to write for my journaling. So, I packed it up and promised myself that I would finish it when I got home. For some reason, I
find it difficult to compose while scrapbooking in a room full of
people.
In order to remedy this (and alleviate my growing pile of "to be continued" layouts) I created kit cards. This planning tool is intended to help scrapbookers record journaling and page titles in advance. If you enjoy putting together kits, feel free to download and print onto standard copy paper. (For personal use only.)

Stick To Your Plan
Challenges can get overwhelming when you’re not organized so
going into 2013, I’m trying to develop ways to be on top of things. Have you ever won a challenge and forgot to
check back with the blog to claim your prize?
This altered paint stick
project is my way of helping me to keep up with the challenges I enter. Four clothes
pins were embellished and added for me to clip on the specific challenge. I already have a few of my favorite places to
play! Going forward I will jot a note
and clip it on so that I can “Stick To My Plan”! Now I'm thinking about adding magnets to the back to place up on my desk.
In 2013 Scraps of Color E:spire will have quarterly challenges. Don‘t miss out on an opportunity to win a $10 gift card from Scrapbook.com. Deadline ends Sunday, March 31st at midnight. Check out the post here for details, but don't forget to leave a note and tell me your favorite organizational tip.

Scrapbook Layout Planner

Happy 2012 Everyone!
I hope you are ready for a new and exciting year full of creativity. As for myself, there are many projects that I would like to complete this year and the only way possible to get them done is to have some sort of a plan. So, I created a "Scrapbook Page Planner." It has prompts for layout size, color, supply list items, journaling, and sketching. The idea is to print out a few of these sheets and complete them when I have free moments during the day. That way when sitting down to scrapbook or while putting page kits together, I will already have an idea of what I would like to accomplish.
Attached is a copy of the planner sheet, please feel free to download (click the image) and print out as many copies as you need to get organized. Hope it helps!
