"Dee-Dee" Digi Stamp

How many of you are stampers? Despite the fact that I have a semi-huge collection of rubber and acrylic stamps I don't consider myself a big stamper.  Especially when it comes to the kind that you have to color.

Although lately I have been catching a little stamping fever and decided to create my own digi-stamp.  I think she would be great for a Mother's day or Birthday Card.  She is named after my aunt Dee-Dee and she has a sassy vintage feel.  This was my first attempt at illustrating and digitally coloring a design of this type, but I am pretty pleased with how she turned out.

If you would like to create a card or project with her, you are welcome to it.  Simply right click the image below and save the file.  As always, the design is free for personal (non-commercial) use only.

Thanks for looking, enjoy!

Wishing A Very Merry Christmas to All

Hello Scrap of Color Family! Sharette here with my post for this Month.. As my date to post my monthly projects is the 25th of every month.. I am truly blessed that I get to post on Christmas Day.. From My family to yours I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas full of Blessing and Love. And may we always remember the "True Reason" why we celebrate this Day.
Did some quick and fun tags for my gift giving this year.. I got a pack of plain white tags from "Recollection's" from Micahel's. I used several stamp sets and some different colored ink pads and just stamped directly on them. All I had to do after was just to right the names on their.. very fast, easy and cute.
I also wanted to make my family their own personal cards for my kids, so I just garbed some scarp card stock. The left overs from when I cut my A2 cards. I make each of them 3 1/2 x 4 1/2 cards. Again I just used several different stamps and made some "Clean and Simple cards.
For this one. "my favorite". I used a stamp and die set from PTI. I used white card stock to cut out the tree an then used several different color ink and stamped them to create this colorful Christmas Tree. Sentiment is also from PTI.

Merry Christmas and a very Happy Ne Year

A little note and stamping!

Hello crafty friends! Sharette here! With my post for the month.  I know like me; you are getting ready for the "Thanksgivig Holiday" yes been busy all week shopping and getting ready for the big day. To top thar off my kids are home "all week" long. So that's  just added to my long days and nights .
I received a nice "thank you " package in the mail and I decide to make two cute little 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 cards. (Thank you Tiare).
I just used up some of my scraps that I have in my stash. I used this gorgeous stamp set from "Hero Arts"  I stamped the sentiment in the middle of my white card stock wih some PTI stamp snd then I used cute frame; which I also stamped with PTI. Then cut it out and used some pop dot. I also used my cuttle bug and rad the card it self through. To decorate I kusr added some pearls.

For this one I did the same I left the card stock and just used it as a Matt!. Just two very quick and simple card. Great for the holidays or any occasions.
From my family to yours "Happy Thanksgiving"

Creating with Julie Nutting Doll Stamps

Okay, I'm not really an image stamper. Sure, I've made cards and I have stamped on many of my layouts but that was mainly using sentiment, words or phrases and maybe a flower or two...you know the easy stuff. So when I decided that I just had to have all the great new doll stamps I knew it would require me to do a little more than just stamping.

I knew I would have to get markers or colored pencils if I wanted to create something with a little more color to them. But I found out that I don't have a lot of patience for sitting and coloring for long periods plus I didn't know a thing about how to get just the right color shades for skin or hair. So when I saw a post on SOC about using Gamsol with color pencils I knew that would work for me.

Here are two tags I made using doll stamp "Taylor" and "Shay". For Shay I actually did the coloring with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. For Taylor I stamped on patterned paper, cut out the pieces and layered them on top of another stamp of the same doll. I also did the skin tone and hair color using the color pencils and Gamsol technique.

I still need more practice with coloring  and blending but like how they turned out for my first try.

Hello Spring and Stamping

Hello My lovely Crafty friends; Sharette here with you today, wishing you all a HAPPY and wonderful Spring. I know that if you were buried in all the winter Snow, you are only too happy to see some warmer weather.
I have a very quick, easy and simple card to share with you all today.
I love "Stamping".. I think it's a great and beautiful way to create some gorgeous cards and layouts. Plus if you are just starting out in card making, or stamping or even coloring, its' a great way to learn how to place your stamps and use your ink pads. I started off with some craft card stock from PTI.  I cut my 8 1/2 X 11.  card stock, cutting that in half  (length  wise) and you will have two perfect "A2" cards. You all know I love using my scraps.. so I just pulled out a few pieces I used my paper trimmer and I cut my DP in 1 to 1 1/4 inches. and just taped them on to my card stock with my tape glider.
For my stamping I used a stamp and die cut from The Greeting Farm and ink also from PTI. I stamped my flower twice, once one the card stock it's self (Melon Berry) and then added my leaves (New Leaf). for my second flower I stamped it again and then used my cuttle bug to cut it out.. (if you don't have a cutting machine then you can just use your scissors. I finished off with a piece of ribbon and then stamped the hello and used some "alpha stickers"  Very easy and simple to make...

Hope you enjoy the rest of your week and get out and enjoy the warm weather.

Happy Scrapping,
Sharette
