Before and After


Before
I took out this layout to take a photo for this post and realized it just didn’t look “right” to me.  The photos weren’t separated enough.  You couldn’t tell that there are really three distinct photos of my little nephew at the Air Force Museum.  And not just one big photo blob.   

I wasn’t going to try and pry up the photos, so what could I do??  Ah-ha!!  I cut tiny strips of cardstock to mimic the look of a mat separating the photos. 

 I actually like it a little better than a full mat on this layout!   I will have to keep this tip in mind for future layouts when a full mat might be too much.
