Creating background for your images.

Hello everyone I hope that you are all having a great Friday.. I have to be honest with you and tell you that this is NOT my original post, I wanted to post.    I really wanted to share something else with you all, But my time just did Not allow me to finish, and I could have posted what I have, but it wouldn't be the same as the complete project, I will see if I can show you before my next schedule post.
My card today, shows what I have been practicing with. Creating a background scene for your image. To start with I used this sweet little "digital image from "Some Odd Girl"... This is "Flower Kayle". She comes standing in her cute little flower bed, but I wanted to add more details to her.
I have been stalking a lot of blogs with crafters doing the "Cloud and Sky" I really think that adding a scene to your cad or layout  your image come to life and creates such a a great layout.
I took a piece of Design Paper that had some really good clouds on it. I cut out several of the cloud image and use those as my "die to add my cloud in the back ground. I used just a little tape, (easy to come off too). and layered my clouds on to my image, then using my Prisma pencils, I started with "Cloud Blue and colored my sky all the way to the bottom where the grass meet. Then I went back with  904 Light cerulean 1023 Blue and for the very top where  the sky is the bluest I added 914 Non Photo Blue.. Once I layered all my colors and I was happy with my work. I simply removed my cut out cloud and my sky was done. I finished off the grass so that it spread out to the end of my image with. 1005 Lime peel, 1090 Kelp Green and 909 Grass Green.
Here is a close up of Kaylee. I just love those big eyes of her. I colored her with Prisma Pencils and OMS. for her flowers I just added a little "glitter" and she was all colored up.
Here is the inside of my card.. I just went with the flower them and added my sentiment' Thanks a Bunch".

Again this was just a simple card, and I do plan to finish the project started and I will post that soon.. I hope that you get to try adding a scene to your image or layout, and I would love to see what you come up with.

Happy Scrapping,
Sharette
