10 Minutes or Less Birthday Card

Hello Beautiful People!

Let me start off by saying my official Happy New Year! I hope it is a good one thus far. If nothing else, it is definitely a cold one! January for me is full of birthdays; MLK’s birthday is this month, several family members and my hubby’s! Today I want to share the birthday card I made for hubby.

Anyone who knows me knows I like to do 10 minute or less cards. For those who don’t, about a year ago, I challenged myself to this because I was spending too much time on one card AND I needed a card in a hurry! This “challenge” has been a blessing really!

On this card, I used two patterns from the Bo Bunny Snowfall 6x6 paper collection. I also used a scrap piece of Vintage Cream Paper Trey Ink cardstock to stamp the sentiment and as a shadow to the banner. I colored white brads and clear buttons with Copic Markers to match the colors in the pattern paper. I love to do this because Copics are an alcohol based marker and it is permanent! So if you can’t find the exact color, try using a marker!

I hope you like and will try out a 10 minute or less card on your own. You may be pleasantly surprised with the results! Thank you so much for stopping by, Kenya~

Besides coloring images, what do you like to use your Copic markers for?

  1. I've changed the colors with glimmer mist, but not copics. Great idea! Love the design

    1. Hello friend! I never used Glimmer Mist...I have used Smooch. I will have to give that technique a try. Thanks for sharing~

  2. Nice masculine card! I don't have Copics so I use Sharpies or BIC Mark-It's to color buttons and bling.
