After pinning this cute little quote, I decided that I would do a layout page of my summer reading list. I also searched for more reading quotes to go along with the first one for my layout.

The quotes were not ready to be used "as is" for my page so I did a little editing using the Format Picture tool in MS Word. I changed the background colors, added a texture element and a shadow border to the inside of each one. I also re-sized them before printing and cutting them out. I think they turned out perfect for my page. Now all I have to do is start reading! I hope you find time this summer for your favorite book or you can always just scrap about it, like me. LOL.
Love this layout! I just stated Little Green.

ReplyDeleteVery cute LO! I love that quote, and its very true for me as well! I really like the "keep calm" sentiment and maybe lifting it myself, lol! Thanks for the inspiration, and happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI love your layout. And that quote is so true. Between the physical books and the books on my Kindle I don't need to buy anymore books. But, let me go near a bookstore and I know more than one is coming home with me.
ReplyDeleteHappy Reading! Enjoy the Summer!
Tena I love this layout and all the details I noticed. I will have to scraplift this one.
ReplyDeleteLove your LO, have fun conquering your reading list!
ReplyDeleteLove your Layout, Tena! Your story reminds me of when my Mom would take us to the library every week! Great memories!
ReplyDeleteAhhhhhhhh..... reading something else I don't get to spend enough time doing! Great layout!
ReplyDeleteWonderful LO Tena!
ReplyDelete2 cute, love this layout. Great job
ReplyDeleteI love the quote about buying one book when you have 10 already to read. That's me. I haven't read any of Walter Mosely's book, although I have one or two that I have picked up from the Flea Market. I also just love the way your layout turned out. It is inspiring. I might have to make a list of the books I have read in 2013 - just to see how much reading I have actually done.
