Journaling Bliss

Lately as my busy schedule allows me, my preferred art of choice has been journaling and includes art journaling.  Before the summer begun, I purchased a Midori Travelers Notebook.

There are quite a few videos out there showing how to start and maintain one. I saw one and immediately fell in love.  In this journal, I can incorporate some of my scrapbooking skills and also practice any art skills that I'm trying to master. I can also use my die-cuts that I've cut using my favorite die-cut machine.

I am also attempting to follow the Documented Life art journaling prompts.  It is a day-to-day or month-to-month journaling which consists of writing and such art forms as painting, drawing and doodling. I like it because it is flexible at best.  I can do a little on some days or a lot on other days(i.e. weekends).  I also like the fact that the type of embellishments for these journals are endless.
Recently, I created some flowers to send in happy mail packages and also to grace some of my pages. These are so easy to make once you get the concept down.  I use various materials, from old book pages, deli paper and even discarded contact paper backing. Below are some examples:

Here are some pages from my DLP(documented life planner):

Why not start your own journaling journey and I bet you will be surprised how your creativity will soar.
