March 8th was International Women’s Day and I created a layout in honor of her and Women everywhere who want more for themselves:
Digitally designed using Adobe Photoshop Elements. Digital Elements: Shmoozy journaling stamp by Nancie Rowe Janitz; Patterned paper, believe in yourself and flourish stamps by Katie Pertiet; Banner by Karen Henderson.
For the Month of March I challenge you to choose a holiday or happening, heck, go ahead and choose more than one, (some are provided in the listings below) and create a scrap layout, card, jewelry or whatever inspires you and don't forget to post a comment with a link to your creation.
Oh, almost forgot, here’s a Fun

Did you know: March was named for the Roman God, Mars?

ReplyDeleteI like this idea a lot - I used to scrapbook about world events more, before I knew about "designer" scrapbooking (using embellishments, mixed media, etc).
ReplyDeleteI'd clip out articles and make my own notes about them... This is almost like a refresher, except I'm combining my "old" way of scrapbooking, with my new way. :)
Thank you Treva! Me to, Kerry! And combining the two is what we now call "smash booking", am I right?
ReplyDeleteGreat post! I love the idea of "message" scrapbooking and honoring people who inspire us...even it we do not know them personally!
ReplyDeleteWonderful post & layout Karen, thanks for sharing the list of holidays & happenings.
