March is here…

…and this year is just flying by!  I was looking at some of the holidays and happenings of the month as I usually do, and thought about an article in the news early this year about a 14 year old equality activist named Malala Yousafzai in Swat, Pakistan who was shot in the neck and head by a Taliban assassin for wanting an education! I then thought that it is sad to see education being misused, unused and taken for granted!  All this should make us more mindful of the fact that there are STILL people, both here in the U.S. and all over the world that are mistreated in so many ways.  Educate yourselves! Take that step forward to achieve more…and BE MORE! That is, for your health, mind, relationships AND education!  It’s never too late!  Glad to see she is doing better and is moving forward in her education!

March 8th was International Women’s Day and I created a layout in honor of her and Women everywhere who want more for themselves:

Digitally designed using Adobe Photoshop Elements. Digital Elements: Shmoozy journaling stamp by Nancie Rowe Janitz; Patterned paper, believe in yourself and flourish stamps by Katie Pertiet; Banner by Karen Henderson.

For the Month of March I challenge you to choose a holiday or happening, heck, go ahead and choose more than one, (some are provided in the listings below) and create a scrap layout, card,  jewelry or whatever inspires you and don't forget to post a comment with a link to your creation.

Oh, almost forgot, here’s a Fun Fact:
Did you know: March was named for the Roman God, Mars?

What other fun facts do you know about March?  What’s your favorite March Holiday or happening?
Don’t forget to leave your comments below and have fun with the challenge and remember to…

Let MARCH Inspire YOU!

  2. I like this idea a lot - I used to scrapbook about world events more, before I knew about "designer" scrapbooking (using embellishments, mixed media, etc).

I'd clip out articles and make my own notes about them... This is almost like a refresher, except I'm combining my "old" way of scrapbooking, with my new way. :)
