Make it Meaningful 2014

Let's make one of our most meaningful albums ever. This year, it's about you...meaningful, beautiful, wonderful YOU! This challenge will focus more on the journaling and the story, not just the photos. It will have you remembering feelings and days gone by. You'll reflect and learn. You may laugh, you may cry but one thing is for sure you WILL have an AMAZING, MEANINGFUL keepsake at year's end.
Here is how it will work. Every 1st and the 15th of each month, I will pose a question in the SOC Community here. You think about it and create your page and share it in our gallery!  We have a gallery in the forum and we have a great way to share your creations in our NEW Blog Gallery, as well.

Jan 1 - 15 Question 1:  When and where were you born? Journal about it, create your page. Give some details if you have any.  Share your creation.

Stick To Your Plan

Challenges can get overwhelming when you’re not organized so going into 2013, I’m trying to develop ways to be on top of things.  Have you ever won a challenge and forgot to check back with the blog to claim your prize?  This altered paint stick project is my way of helping me to keep up with the challenges I enter.  Four clothes pins were embellished and added for me to clip on the specific challenge.  I already have a few of my favorite places to play!  Going forward I will jot a note and clip it on so that I can “Stick To My Plan”!  Now I'm thinking about adding magnets to the back to place up on my desk.

Happy 8th Anniversary SOC!!! Celebrating 8 Years of Sistahood!

Welcome to SOC's 8th Anniversary Blog Hop! This is where it all began!  The start of the sistahood!

To commemorate Scraps of Color's 8th birthday, some talented papercrafters, have come together to share projects based on the celebrations in our lives. We wanted to have this special blog hop to celebrate this great crafting community where we laugh, play, and create together and encourage and inspire one another. Of course, a blog hop isn't complete without blog candy! There will be giveaways on various blogs throughout the hop! Plus there is a gift awaiting one visitor right here on the SOC Blog!! For this hop, I thought what could be better than sharing a layout, that celebrates sistahood!  Although these photos are of myself and friends celebrating a birthday, it really represents 8 years of SOC, as well.  For most of us met online and they are some of the first members of the ever FABULOUS SOC Community.  We have been crafting together for years and have formed wonderful friendships.  Not only do we craft together, we have shopped together, dined together, retreated together, gone to fairs, traveled together, attended plays and so much more.  We have become good sistahfriends!  SOC does not only bring us together as crafters, it facilitates wonderful friendships!  SOC is family.  SOC is community. SOC is LOVE!

Fun Tip:  Not enough letters to complete your word.  Try a unique, yet fun spelling, like I did here by spelling happee instead of happy...I think it still conveys the message well!
